Do you ever decorate a space for someone else and then instantly want it for yourself? That is what happened with my daughters room remodel.
Like any project we searched for some inspiration and then took it from there. I knew we wanted Beddys for her bed. We started by searching the designs to see which felt like it would fit the space best. We landed on their Farmhouse print. We chose the minky version and oh my goodness is it soft and wonderful! The bed skirt is from amazon.
The bed we purchased online from Walmart. We went with the Better Homes and Garden Penn Twin Bed. Our style tends to flip flop between farmhouse, modern and now more boho. I felt like this bed would compliment any of those styles well.
The paint colors on the wall are Mysterious (by Glidden PPG1037-6) and BEHR Hailstorm Grey. I painted both kids rooms the exact same colors since they kept flip flopping rooms. It works out well that the dark blue accent wall looks so different with girl décor vs boy décor. Stay tuned for our boy room remodel post coming soon. 😉
The wall decals I ordered off of Amazon. I kept looking at doing wallpaper on that wall but decided to try these decals instead. I am so glad that I did – I love them!

If I am being honest though this Amazon hanging swing chair is our favorite part of the room. Who knew this chair could bring so much joy! I’d highly recommend every room adding a swinging chair. 🙂
Another fun part of this room was the transformation of a $10 garage sale find – love those, right? I knew I wanted a side table for next to her bed but really couldn’t find the one. The best part about this one is that my daughter found it while out garage saling with her Nana. A couple cans of spray paint later and some sanding to distress the edges and POOF we have a side table.
I knew I needed to keep some storage in her room but I wasn’t exactly sure what that would look like. We had this white 4 square cube cabinet so I decided to look for new bins that would fit in that and match the new look and feel of the room. I purchased these large ones from Walmart and I’m impressed with how much stuff these hold.

And last but certainly not least the one item that my daughter HAD to have. She was adamant that she needed a sign for her door. I laughed so hard in Hobby Lobby when she showed me. I mean how could I say no to this sign? It’s awesome! Now I sort of want my own that says do not enter unless you have wine and tacos. 🙂

Please reach out with any questions you may have. I’d also love for you to follow us on instagram, if you are not doing so already. We have a few more fun projects up our sleeves. Come check it out!
